I'd like to welcome all of the Area 18 PTA members as we begin our 2010-2011 year together.
Area 18 includes Arlington ISD, Cedar Hill ISD, DeSoto ISD, Duncancille ISD, Grand Prairie ISD, Lancaster ISD, Mansfield ISD and Red Oak ISD PTA Councils.
Overall we encompass 8 Councils, consisting of 281 local PTA and PTSA units plus our 5 independent local units from Kennedale. We do expect to be organizing some new local units this year and are excited about our area's growth. Last year our total membership topped 607,000 and I am confident that we will be able to beat that number this year!
Area 18's focus this year will be to unify, support and service our councils and local units. We look forward to providing extension services to our membership. As our Councils prepare for their Officers and Chairmen trainings, we will be available to assist and provide trainers for Leadership Orientations.
Our Area 18 Board is here to serve you.. We have all served in leadership roles in councils or local units so we understand many of the challenges you face. No question is too big or too small. I am excited about working with such an energetic, knowledgeable and diverse group of volunteers
